- Grape Hyacinths
Grape Hyacinths otherwise known as Muscari are a bulbous plant which grows to 15cm tall and produces usually blue flowers. The cultivar Amiacum Blue is derived from the naturally occuring M. armeniacum or Armenian Grape Hyacinth. It is found from the Balkans and Turkey to the southern Caucasus. These bulbs are hardy and are great for garden borders. Make sure the area planted is well fertilized especially when these areas thicken. Flowering season late winter to spring.
